Wedding Day Action Shots.....

Lauren's Big Day started very early at "The Meadowmere" in Ogunquit. Lena Hartford, Hair that Moves, and I arrived to join in the fun and do a little hair and makeup at the same time. The "getting ready" room was filled with family and friends, lots of laughter and love. We finished with the Moms and the bridal party and then started for "The Outlook" in So. Berwick to make the bride and her lovely sister the Maid of Honor, ready for their entrance.

Fabulous first bridal show of the new season....

The first Madeleine's Event Central Bridal Showcase hosted at Ethan Allen's furniture store was a smashing success. Brides, grooms, families and friends all came out to see what is available for their 2010 and 2011 weddings.
Can't wait to start planning the details. I will be participating in 6 more throughout the course of the winter season and am excited at the prospect of making so many more new friends. More to come with dates and locations and a link to the EC website!

My groom of 27 years in front of the Black Tie Limo. couch....seats 30 people!

October 3, 2009 My dear friend and Joya bride Jillian married her true love Stephen at the First Church in Swampscott, MA.

Jillian and I met in 2007 while I was preparing to attend to her soon to be sister-in-law, Laura for her wedding in Ipswich, MA June 2008. Jillian, her mother Merry, her Aunt Connie, friend Wendy and other cousins and neighbors made the trip to Dover through rain, snow, sleet and ice for regular skin care appointments and makeup lessons first for her brother's wedding and then her own.

The morning of the wedding my friend and talented makeup artist Katherine MacDonald of Beliza in Chelmsford arrived at the Marblehead Inn bright and early. We had a wonderful time with all 8 or Jillian's bridesmaids, MOB Merry, MOG Debbi and Aunt Connie. They fed us yummy breakfast treats, lots of coffee and the best of all...hugs and kisses. We felt like part of the family and I was of course teary eyed during the ceremony just like a dotting aunt would be.

Couldn't resist posting this photo of Jillian as it captures her radiant smile. As much as I would like to take credit for her glowing skin and sparkling eyes...I think marrying Stephen is the real reason!

Best wishes, Jillian and Steve, for a long and happy life together.
Thank you Merry and Co. for your visits and I hope to see you post wedding for more. Don't forget....we still have Roger!

Susan wanted a more dramatic makeup look for her evening wedding photo shoot. We created that look together at the Joya studio with full eyelashes, flawless airbrushed complexion,
smokey eyes and more color on her lips with a custom blended lipstick.

The makeup design appointment is probably the most fun part of doing a photo shoot, beauty
pagent or wedding event. We can experiment with colors, intensity and various formulas to create that perfect balance and end result...all in the comfort and privacy of a professional makeup studio.

Come visit and let's create that perfect look for you for your special event or just for that walk out of the house in the morning to go to work.

Call 603-534-3412 and treat yourself to an image makeup session which comes with a custom blend base coverage product of your choice.

Revolumizing Lip Care now at Joya beauty

This is a crazy photo of some lips (guess who!) after using the new LipToxyl X3 revolumizing lipcare product daily.

Over time lips lose healthy, youthful fullness, becoming thinner, more lined and less well-defined. Lip Toxyl X3 Revolumizing Lipcare is a lightweight, soothing treatment that works as a solution to return your lips to a less-lined appearance and cushiony plumpness. Clinical tests revealed a 79% reduction in surface lines and roughness in as little as two hours. After three hours, lip plumpness was increased by 158%, hydration was enhanced by 155% and smoothness was increased by 533%.

I am not usually sold on lip plumping products...especially the ones that sting. This one really works ...as long as you use it daily under your lip color you will have softer, fuller, silkier lips. Call or email to get yours now! $28 at Joya beauty.
